Terms and conditions for Southern Cross Life Insurance Two months free promotion

  1. Southern Cross Life Insurance is provided and underwritten by Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand Limited (‘Chubb Life’) and promoted and marketed by Southern Cross Insurance Services Limited (‘Southern Cross’).
  2. This promotion, is a Southern Cross Life Insurance offer to eligible new Southern Cross Life Insurance policyholders to receive the first 2 months’ of premium payments for free (“Promotion”).
  3. This Promotion is promoted by Southern Cross and administered by Chubb Life.

    Eligibility criteria
  4. To be eligible for this Promotion an eligible applicant must submit a completed application for a new Southern Cross Life Insurance policy (‘Policy’) between 18 March and 20 June 2024 inclusive (the ‘Promotional Period’) and have the Policy subsequently issued by Chubb Life.
  5. Applications must be completed and submitted either online at www.southerncrosslife.co.nz or over the phone with Chubb Life’s Southern Cross Life Insurance team.
  6. Unless otherwise agreed by Chubb Life in writing (in its sole discretion), to be eligible an applicant:
    1. must be a New Zealand resident and aged over 18.
    2. must not have held a Southern Cross Life Insurance policy during the three-month period prior to the start of the Promotional Period. For the avoidance of doubt, Southern Cross Life Insurance policyholders who amend an existing Policy (for example, by increasing or decreasing their cover, or cancelling their Policy and take out a new Policy) during the Promotional Period are not eligible for the Promotion.

    7. Two months’ free
  7. Policyholders eligible for the Promotion will have an amount of premium credited to their Policy, calculated as follows:
    1. for customers paying fortnightly, an amount equal to 5 fortnights’ premium.
    2. for customers paying monthly, an amount equal to 2 months’ premium.

  8. Application for a Policy during the Promotional Period is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  9. Decisions about accepting applications are solely the responsibility of Chubb Life and are subject to Chubb Life’s underwriting and assessment criteria. Southern Cross accepts no liability for those decisions.
  10. Southern Cross and Chubb Life accept no liability for applications that are incomplete or defective, or that are submitted outside of the Promotional Period.
  11. The Promotion is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. This Promotion does not provide any person with any right to offset or to claim any deduction of any kind against Southern Cross or Chubb Life.
  12. The Promotion is not available in conjunction with any other Southern Cross Life Insurance promotion or offer and may only be applied once per Policyholder during the Promotional Period.
  13. Chubb Life and Southern Cross reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of this Promotion, to end it early, or extend it at any time. Any changes will be available on the Southern Cross Life Insurance website.
